I love everything about this school! My daughter started here when she was 1 and is about to be 5, it was the best experience we could ask for when introducing her to a classroom setting. We highly recommend it to any new parents searching for a safe environment, involved teachers, and lifelong friends for their little ones. Not only do we love all of the teachers but also Ms. Kim and Ms. Jessica who are constantly showing up with warmth and guidance to us parents. - Roshni and Paul Beharry

Target

Curriculum Focus

Our Spanish immersion classes are part of a thoughtfully designed program that nurtures bilingual preschoolers' learning academically, socially, and emotionally. In our classrooms, children are gently surrounded by Spanish throughout the day as they explore ideas, collaborate with peers, and discover the joy of language learning together. Through these shared moments of discovery, children begin to build vocabulary, deepen understanding, and grow in confidence as they use a second language.

Routine

Daily Routine

Each day in our classroom is filled with meaningful Spanish immersion experiences that bring the language to life for children. Students may talk about scientific discoveries, solve math challenges with classmates, listen to stories, and take part in collaborative, hands-on activities, all using Spanish naturally throughout the school day. As the day unfolds, children grow more comfortable hearing, understanding, and using Spanish with their friends and teachers.

Content

Classroom Experience

In our classrooms, children experience total immersion in the Spanish language through authentic conversation, joyful exploration, and collaborative learning. Our caring teachers provide gentle guidance, small-group learning, and supportive modeling that helps every child feel confident trying a new language. Children are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and explore language in ways that feel natural and engaging.

About Our Spanish Immersion Program

Our Spanish immersion program is built on the belief that language is something children should experience and enjoy every day, not simply memorize from a list of words. Instead of focusing on isolated vocabulary, children discover Spanish through natural conversation, shared laughter with peers, and meaningful moments of learning alongside their teachers. When children are introduced to a second language early, they develop a strong foundation for second-language acquisition while strengthening memory, focus, and flexible thinking. Research by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) also shows that the benefits of learning Spanish can include stronger academic performance, deeper cultural understanding, and communication skills that support children throughout their lives. Whether Spanish is already spoken in your home or your child is discovering a foreign language for the very first time, our program gently meets every child where they are and supports their journey toward confidence using more than one language.

How Spanish Immersion Supports Development In Early Childhood

Our dual-language class approach nurtures the whole child by encouraging students to think creatively, explore ideas, and solve problems using more than one language. As children experience a foreign language in their daily learning, they naturally strengthen important skills such as focus, organization, and memory. With consistent immersion, children grow both academically and socially, gaining confidence as their language skills develop over time. Research from Kent State University continues to show that the benefits of acquiring a second language include stronger problem-solving abilities, greater attention, and deeper communication skills that support learning in every subject and throughout life.

Language Skills & Foundations: Natural Language Learning Through Full Immersion

In our Spanish immersion classes, children are gently surrounded by Spanish throughout the school day as they listen to stories, move, play, and explore the world around them. This total-immersion approach helps children connect words to meaning naturally through joyful, real-life experiences. As students practice listening and speaking, they begin sharing ideas, thoughts, and feelings in Spanish with growing confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Spanish Immersion Program

Why is it beneficial for children to learn a foreign language at an early age?

At our school, we believe learning a foreign language during early childhood opens the door to deeper communication, curiosity, and confidence. Our Spanish immersion program surrounds students with caring educators, many of whom are native speakers, who guide children through authentic conversations and language-rich experiences every day. Research shows that early bilingualism strengthens brain development and may even help delay cognitive decline later in life. While children gain Spanish skills, they continue to speak English with confidence and develop strong communication abilities in both languages.
